EP talent on Boards
Congratulations to AIR EP Board member Mary Rowe, who has been appointed to the Livestock SA Board.
Together with husband Brad, Mary owns a first-generation wool and lamb enterprise at Elliston. Focus is placed on production traits which will allow the business to meet it’s financial, environmental and welfare objectives. Mary also works full-time in livestock production pharmaceuticals with a special interest in minimising disease and increasing production. Mary is skilled in grazing systems, animal nutrition and animal health across intensive and extensive sheep and cattle production systems in South Australia. She has worked in aspects of livestock supply chain from conception to consumption. She pushes to adopt novel technology, if economically beneficial, strives to improve animal welfare. She brings a balanced perspective of practical experience, technical knowledge and business acumen.
Congratulations also to Dion Trezona, who has been appointed to GPSA’s newly formed Young Grain Producers Committee, which will play an important role in shaping the future of South Australia’s grain industry policy and advocacy.
Dion is a fifth–generation grain producer, operating a mixed farming business near Streaky Bay on the Eyre Peninsula, where he lives with his wife and five children. His enterprise integrates cropping and livestock, showcasing a balanced and sustainable approach to farming in a challenging environment. Dion is a highly engaged member of the agricultural community, actively involved with AIR EP and local agricultural bureaus. He has also hosted several research trials on his property over many years, contributing to the development and adoption of new practices and technologies to benefit the broader farming sector.
Designed to foster leadership, policy engagement, and development opportunities for the next generation of grain producers, the Committee will be chaired by GPSA Grower Director and industry leader Deanna Paech.

GPSA Chief Executive Officer Brad Perry highlighted the importance of having a specific avenue to receive policy and advocacy advice on grain issues related to the younger generation. “The Young Grain Producers Committee reflects GPSA’s commitment to ensuring a vibrant and sustainable future for South Australia’s grain sector. This diverse group of passionate and driven individuals will bring fresh perspectives to the challenges and opportunities facing our industry,” Mr Perry said.
