The development of a community-led drought resilience plan for Outback SA is set to begin in February 2024. This
plan is a major component of the Regional Drought Resilience Planning Program, an initiative of the Australian
Government’s Future Drought Fund.
The Drought Resilience Plan aims to empower local communities to proactively prepare for future drought, build on
existing plans and adopt management practices in line with changing climate and environment conditions. It will also
include identification of relevant information, infrastructure and networks required to enhance resilience and address
the economic, environmental, and social impacts of drought.
Consultation has begun for more information, please contact Joe Calvert on 0497 922 745. Or visit the website: www.trybooking.com/eventlist/outbacksadroughtresilienceplanning
