Woolly Pod Vetch Chemical Tolerance

Woolly Pod Vetch Chemical Tolerance

Project Location
Ungarra - Terry Young’s
Year
2015

Summary

The project aimed to identify chemicals that take out broad leaf weeds in established Woolly Pod Vetch. There is a growing export demand for Vetch seed. The opportunity to salvage an area was designated for sheep feed and turn it into a seed crop.

Nine Chemicals were applied to the Woolly Pod Vetch at the growth state to have a better understanding as to how Woolly Pod Vetch recovers from the effect of chemicals used to suppress board leaf weeds and to measure the yield effect.

The Lower Eyre Agricultural Development Association would like to thank Terry Young for the location and for trial input, Ed Hunt Consulting, George Pedler Ag and SARDI staff for their input in the project.
