A new year has brought about renewed confidence in eastern states following decent summer rainfall. This has helped drive price recoveries for livestock, good production conditions for horticulture and helpful soil moisture for the year ahead. Challenges remain on the demand front for some commodities but the mood of the agricultural sector is much brighter than late last year.
