New Native Vegetation Council Grant Opportunities

| Posted in

The Native Vegetation Council (NVC) are pleased to offer landowners two new opportunities to apply for funding to restore and protect native vegetation on their land.

NVC Restoration Grants 2024-2026

Restoration Grants are for long term (5 – 10 year) projects that will provide a significant benefit to native vegetation by improving condition and increasing protection through a new Heritage Agreement.

Two grant rounds will be offered each year and available for landowners in select Landscapes SA regions each round.

Round 1 is now open and available to landowners in Northern and Yorke, Eyre Peninsula and SA Arid Land Landscapes SA regions. $11.4 million is available this round.

Applications for Round 1 are to be submitted by the 15 November 2024.

Round two will be announced early 2025 and will likely be open to landowners in other parts of the state.

NVC Heritage Agreement Incentive Grants 2024-2026

Heritage Agreement Incentive Grants are for landowner wanting to establish a new Heritage Agreement or to expand an existing one. The grants are for short term (1-5 year) projects that help to protect native vegetation and enhance its condition.

The program is available for landowners across South Australia.

Applications can be submitted any time before 30 June 2026. However, landowners are encouraged to apply early for the best chance of securing funding.

The opportunity to apply maybe withdrawn once funding is fully committed or at the discretion of the NVC.
