Flood Recovery Pests and Weeds project update
An update on the EP and SA Aridlands Flood Recovery Pests and Weeds project:
Over the past few months…
- Targeted assistance weed control program: recently contractors have been controlling spring flowering weeds over 44 properties, recent rainfall should see further action in the weed control space over the early summer period.
- Weed control equipment subsidy: closed end of August and attracted 21 claims.
- The program financially supported aerial feral deer control on the EP, with 4 deer culled (populations eradicated in target locations).
- The program supported an aerial goat control operation with the EP and SAAL Landscape Boards. 4,678 goats were controlled.
