In the Paddock July 2025

Here are some shots from the 2025 season. If you have some photos to share, send them to us at AIR EP.
Above: High medic and capeweed populations in crops have been evident this season. Diuron MCPA was sprayed on 28 June to knock broadleaf plants in this Calibre wheat, sown 20 May, near Cowell.
Below (both): Barley screenings were spread prior to site levelling on this section of deep, non-wetting sand on 23 June. The site was deep ripped in 2023 however prevailing strong winds, coupled with dry conditions has resulted in poor cover. Germination has been patchy, with some sections establishing well, while other plants suffer stunted growth and wind damage.
