2024 Intern Alex Busch wins Sandy Soils award
The Global Conference of Sandy Soils recognises the need to study sandy soil as a group of soils, with researchers coming together from all over the world. The 2nd Global Conference was recently held on 21-24 July 2025 in WA. The conference theme for 2025 was ‘Shifting Sands to Sustainable Solutions’ focussing on the challenges of managing and protecting the natural capital of sandy soils in the face of a changing climate.
Eyre Peninsula's 2024 Grains Research Intern Alex Busch recently attended and won second best poster "Addressing soil constraints in post amelioration sandy soils". Congratulations Alex, well done!
