🌱 – What the F? Practical Strategies for the season we’re in – Online sessions for SA farmers
SA farmers are heading into seeding under enormous pressure. With many parts of the state enjoying recent rains, farmers are eager to start seeding. However, the rising costs, fuel and fertiliser uncertainties are bringing the weight of another tough season. Psychologist and farmer Steph Schmidt has put together What the F? Practical Strategies for the Season We’re In, a four-session online series of practical skills sessions for SA primary producers (and those who support them), made possible through the South Australian Government’s $117M Drought Support funding.
These aren’t therapy sessions, they’re practical tools you can actually use, covering You, Relationships, Business, and Supporting Others.
Sessions run from 15 April to 8 May, with daytime (Fri 10–11am) and evening (Wed 7:30–8:30pm) options. Pay what you can — $0, $15 per session, or $50 for the series.

About Steph: Steph Schmidt knows what it’s like to watch the forecast, watch the fuel bills, and wonder how much more a family can carry. She and her husband farm at Worlds End and the Mallee in SA with their three young sons — cropping 10,000 acres and running 5,000 sheep across low-rainfall country. She’s also a registered psychologist, and that combination is what Farm Life Psych is built on. Over the past six years, Steph has delivered wellbeing programs across more than 50 rural communities nationally, working with grain growers, graziers, horticulturalists, and farming families who needed something practical they can use in the paddock, in the office, or at home.
