This practical workshop combines an introduction to carbon farming with a hands-on look at farm emissions calculators. Participants will explore the key drivers behind carbon farming, what greenhouse gas emissions mean for farm businesses, and how emissions are commonly measured across livestock and cropping systems. The session will also step through the data needed for emissions calculators, common pitfalls, and how results can be used to identify practical opportunities to reduce emissions and improve business resilience.
The workshop will run from 9:30am to 2:00pm and is suited to farmers, advisers and industry representatives wanting a clear, practical starting point for understanding carbon farming and farm emissions accounting.
