Agricultural Leader Peter Treloar Appointed RBS Board Chair

Rural Business Support (RBS) welcomes the appointment of primary producer and former member of parliament, Mr Peter Treloar as Chair of the Board of Directors following the RBS Annual General Meeting on Friday 20 October.

Mr Treloar replaces Dr John Harvey, who has completed 10 years of service to the Board and Chair since October 2020.

“His leadership and expertise will help RBS address the ongoing needs of businesses, farmers, landowners, and communities facing hardship in rural and regional South Australia and the Northern Territory.”

Since joining the RBS Board in 2013, the organisation has grown from offering the free, confidential, and independent Rural Financial Counselling Service for primary producers across SA and the NT, to adding Small Business Financial Counselling, and the Landowner Information Service as significant programs. Both programs were piloted during 2020, following the most devastating bushfires and the first year of the COVID pandemic. To read the full article click here
