Spring has now well and truly sprung with cropping and livestock markets continuing to diverge. Winter crop harvest is drawing closer, with October rainfall across Victoria and South Australia key to determining final yield estimates.

Meanwhile, Australian beef prices maintained their positive run through September, thanks to strong processor and export demand.

From a livestock perspective, the favourable rainfall outlook across the east coast is also expected to drive robust restocker demand for both cattle and sheep. Aussie wool prices have also continued to strengthen on the back of reduced supply and improved purchasing out of China.
