Drought Support | SA Donated Fodder Transport Assistance Scheme

| Posted in

The South Australian Government’s Donated Fodder Transport Drought Assistance Scheme, administered by PIRSA, supports drought-affected livestock producers by covering the freight costs of donated fodder deliveries through approved charitable organisations.

Primary producers who need fodder can contact one of the five approved charities participating in the scheme:

If you require fodder, you must register your interest directly with these organisations to be eligible. Each charity has its own process for registration and allocation of fodder deliveries. Direct contact details are as follows:

Rural Aid – 1300 327 624

Farmers Relief Agency – 0451 245 385 or visit https://www.farmersreliefagency.com.au/

Rapid Relief Team – 1300 858 208 or email action.au@rrtglobal.org

Need For Feed – https://form.jotform.co/82119455028860

Rapid Relief Team have confirmed a hay run coming to Jamestown on June 6 that you can apply for via the following link: https://app.smartsheet.com/b/form/0195c5ff78017e80aafa49d21c4016a5

Producers are required to move the hay on the day. If you have no transport available, you can still apply and click the box that’s says “I am unable to move the hay” to demonstrate the demand for hay on the West Coast.
