EP Workshops Announced | NGN Supporting Others Through Drought
GRDC NGN Supporting Others Through Drought is a new initiative to strengthen the skills and confidence of those working directly with farmers, located across the Southern Grain Growing regions.
Led by Beck Burgess (Beck Burgess Consulting), Steph Schmidt (Farm Life Psych) and Sarah Crosthwaite (Open Road Counselling), these hands-on workshops are designed for advisors working side-by-side with growers.
EP Workshop Locations:
Streaky Bay – 30 September 2025
Cummins – 1 October 2025
In brief, participants will gain:
- A simple toolkit to support themselves and their growers
- Practical strategies they can apply immediately in tough seasons
- A follow-up handbook “The Ute Guide: Tough Times for Advisors”
Format: 3.5-hour interactive breakfast sessions + an online follow-up session
Who for: Early and mid-career advisors (though all are welcome).
This isn’t just another mental health training — it’s practical, relevant and designed to be put into action straight away.
