Farm fatigue input sought from EP farmers

| Posted in

An invitation to EP farm owners, farm managers and farm workers to help design tools to manage farm fatigue.

The Rural Safety Health Alliance funded a project to develop practical tools to manage fatigue on farms, with input from farm owners, managers and workers at every step.

This project is focused on the Grains, Cotton, Dairy and Egg sectors and both AIR EP and GRDC are supporting the work locally and nationally.

The project team has run workshops and done interviews with farmers to understand the specific challenges that cause fatigue and what can happen when fatigue levels are high. We also captured information on the controls that are currently used on farms, as well as ideas of what might work.

A survey was then done to flesh out those ideas and get some broader input.

Now the next step is to put all that information together into practical tools. We’ll do this with hands-on workshops with the people that will use the tools. Your input is critical to make sure the tools will be useful and easy to implement in your operation.
