Community Bank Cummins partner with National Centre for Farmer Health to bring free health checks to EP Field Days!

To support the sustainability and wellbeing of the local agricultural community, Bendigo Bank’s Community Bank Cummins District has announced a partnership with the National Centre for Farmer Health (NCFH). Together, they will deliver free, farmer-focused Health & Lifestyle Assessments at the upcoming Eyre Peninsula Field Days in Cleve, from 11-13 August 2026.

Farming can be a highly stressful profession, often accompanied by accumulative pressures, future uncertainty, and occupational hazards. Recognising that a healthy rural workforce is vital to agricultural productivity, the Community Bank is funding these critical health services directly from their marquee at the event.

“We know that farmers play a significant role in our communities, however they can sometimes prioritise their farms and farming ahead of their own health. This partnership enables us to deliver an important on-the-spot service to those farmers, at a convenient time when they aren’t busy on the farm,” – Braden Gale, Community Bank Cummins District Company Manager.

During the three-day event, qualified health professionals from the NCFH will conduct free, 20-minute one-on-one consultations in a dedicated, private space within the Bendigo Bank tent.
The evidence-based assessments are tailored specifically for farming life and will screen for:
• Blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose, and diabetes risk
• Vision, BMI, and cardiovascular indicators
• Farm safety practices and occupational exposures
• Social and emotional wellbeing

The NCFH specialises in the prevention and early identification of health and safety risks associated with agriculture. Their programs are outcome-driven, with assessments in the past twelve months revealing that 35% of participants required referrals for follow-up care, and 20% were identified with elevated cardiovascular risk.

Over the past decade, more than 10,000 health checks have been delivered across rural and farming communities in Australia.

To secure a 20-minute Health & Lifestyle Assessment at the EP Field Days, visitors are encouraged to pre-book their spot by submitting an expression of interest at Book Your Free NCFH Farmer Health Check | 2026 EP Field Days online form or by visiting the Bendigo Bank Site 181, 5th Street during the event.
