GRDC Grower Forums coming up!
The GRDC Team are heading to the Eyre Peninsula to capture ideas for new research, development and extension investments. Come along and have your say! Plus hear from some great speakers. Workshops will be from Wednesday 20 March to Friday 22 March, see below and REGISTER NOW!
ABOUT: The GRDC Grower Network Forums bring together growers, researchers, industry and agronomists to gather feedback and input into the local research and extension needs, and consider how GRDC investments could add further value to the region. Each forum provides an update on local GRDC investments and features guest speakers who will provide updates on a range of GRDC projects such as snail management, calcareous soil management, saline seep management and soil microbiology.
Each forum is free of charge and will be led by GRDC grower relations manager – South, Rebekah Starick, and Crop Protection Officer – South, Ruth Peek.

This forum will provide an update on local GRDC investments and feature Dr Chris McDonough, from Insight Extension for Agriculture, presenting an update on Sodic Soils. The forum will also include Dr Gupta Vadakattu, Senior Principal Research Scientist CSIRO, who will present on calcareous soil management, and will feature an update from Dr Nigel Wilhelm, SARDI, who will present on managing highly calcareous soils considering managing P, utilising bio-char, deep ripping strategies and improving fertility of the subsoil.
