New staff at SARDI Minnipa Ag Centre

A warm welcome to new staff that have recently joined the Minnipa Agricultural Centre.

  • Zhaohan (Elijah) Luo: Elijah graduated with a Bachelor of Agricultural Science (Honours) at the University of Adelaide in 2021. He has previously undertaken an internship at the Biometry Hub at the University of Adelaide where he studied experimental design and data collection and analysis methods. Elijah also has field trial experience gained from working with AGT and Kalyx Australia. Elijah is excited to learn about low rainfall farming systems and to build relationships with growers as the newly appointed SAGIT funded AIR EP Intern at Minnipa.
  • Dr Farzad Aslani: Dr Aslani has a PhD in Weed Science from the University of Putra Malaysia and a PhD in Mycology and Botany at the University of Tartu in Estonia, which he completed in 2022. He has extensive research experience and specialises in microbial ecology and plant interactions. He has conducted two global and one continental scale studies during his work at the University of Tartu. Dr Aslani has been appointed to the Soils Research Officer role at Minnipa.
