PIRSA Flood Recovery Pest and Weeds program update

| Posted in

There is still a lot happening in the Flood Recovery Pest and Weeds program.

The Weed Control Business Grant

  • The application period has been extended to 28th February 2025 to provide more time to raise awareness of the program among potential beneficiaries
  • We’ve had an encouraging number of applications for the program so far, along with positive feedback on its potential to benefit the regions
  • The program is still available on our website: pir.sa.gov.au/funding/eyre_peninsula_and_sa_arid_lands_weed_control_business_grant

The Primary Producer Grant

  • Is now available
  • Eligible applicants can receive a grant of up to $40,000 (ex GST) to carry out a range of weed and pest management initiatives
  • Applications are open until 31 March 2025 or until the funding is exhausted, whichever occurs first
  • For more information and the application form, see our website: Eyre Peninsula and SA Arid Lands Flood Recovery Primary Producer Grant – PIRSA
  • Feel free to give Harry a call for any clarifications

Further

  • The targeted assistance weed control program will continue up until mid-June, with one or two rounds of control works possible. Rainfall and weather dependent
  • Further goat and deer control programs are in the works
