Join guest speaker and RiskWi$e partner Ben White, General Manager – Research at Kondinin Group, to explore a structured approach to making better harvest decisions when time is short and conditions are uncertain.
Ben will discuss harvester operating costs with Planfarm consultant Peter Newman, who has recently completed a machinery costs analysis.
Should you invest in additional harvester capacity? Is short term on-farm storage a sound investment and what are the associated risks?
Ben will examine how harvest capacity, contractors, labour, chaser bins, trucks, freight, receival-site access and storage form an interconnected system. Adding capacity in one area may accelerate harvest or shift the bottleneck elsewhere.
