Rural Bank March Update

A dry February across eastern states has resulted in mixed responses from Australian agricultural markets. The livestock sector retreated following a strong price recovery over December and January, while output across the horticultural sector remains high on the back of decent soil moisture reserves.

Grain producers are optimistic for winter crop planting, which is due to kick off in April, though demand remains a challenge for the sector due to a high global supply environment.
