Seeking a new EP Grains Research Intern for 2024
Do you know someone who has recently graduated or graduating in 2023 that is interested in trying out grains research?
This position is the result of collaboration between AIR EP and EPAG Research, including partnerships with SARDI and independent consultants based on Eyre Peninsula. The role is jointly funded by SAGIT and the SA Drought Hub.
The Research Officer (EP Grains Applied Research Intern) will be contracted to a 12-month position with EPAG Research, reporting to the Director of EPAG Research. Research areas will focus on agronomy and farming systems, but have scope to include soil science, weed science, crop pathology, and entomology.
The internship will be customised to the successful applicant and day-to-day supervision and guidance will be provided by EPAG Research, AIREP, its research partners, and collaborating advisors.
The aim of this initiative is to encourage high-quality agricultural science students to pursue applied research as a career, and to give graduates who are interested in R&D, a broad overview of the fundamentals of applied R&D relevant to the grains industry, particularly as it relates to Eyre Peninsula.
