Training opportunities through Agri-Silience program

| Posted in

In 2024, Livestock SA launched the AgRi-Silience program which aims to improve the economic, environmental, and social resilience of SA farmers through providing training in the form of small local workshops across a wide range of topics.

AIR EP are currently seeking expressions of interest for low or no cost, half or full day workshops in areas such as farm business management, planning, risk management, decision making, natural resource management and personal and social resilience. We will then coordinate a response on behalf of Eyre Peninsula primary producers, with workshops to potentially be offered in early 2025.

This survey allows you to choose your top 5 preferences for training from a list of options, and list other areas that you might be interested in.

You will be asked to provide contact details at the end of the survey (name, phone, email address) so that we can let you know when and where events are going to be held. Your contact details will not be used for any other purpose beyond this activity, they will be stored securely and will be deleted at the conclusion of this project (May 2025).

Expressions of interest close 5pm Friday 15 November, please ensure you submit your preferences to secure a place.

Some of the types of workshops that could be offered are:

  • Office basics
  • Grain marketing
  • Cash flow budgeting
  • Understanding farm finances and maintaining bank relationships
  • Farm HR: Creating Employers of Choice
  • Managing machinery investment
  • How do we transition from one generation to the next
  • Effective communication and dealing with conflict

And lots more.
