Summary

This project aimed to demonstrate farmer ready management practices that break the cycle of saline land degradation exacerbated by very dry or drought conditions. Two key drivers of soil salinity were addressed - dry saline land and Mallee seeps that cause lost production in low rainfall broad acre mixed farming landscapes.

Dry saline land decision tree

Your resource for understanding and managing saline-affected soils. Here, we’ll explain how Dry Saline Lands workhow to identify them, and provide four essential management strategies to help restore productivity. Whether you’re facing challenges with crop growth or soil degradation due to salt build-up, our insights will guide you toward sustainable solutions for thriving farmland.
