Pulses off to a good start on Lower EP

| Posted in

Here’s some pretty photos of pulse crop emergence taken on 1 July on gravel soils on lower Eyre Peninsula. This trial is part of the GRDC funded Legume Development & Extension project being delivered on lower EP by EPAG Research. This trial site on North Block is comparing lentils, beans and lupins in a low pH (acid) soil with and without lime application and nitrogen. The other trials for this project are located at Tumby Bay, looking at P response of pulses on two soils in the same paddock with differing phosphorus buffering index (PBI) and Yeelanna, on a sodic subsoil with gypsum + ripping in 2024.
