2025 Gold Sponsor Update | Celebrating over 20 years with AGT

| Posted in

With a partnership spanning over 20 years, AIR EP is thrilled to once again partner with Australia’s largest plant breeding company, Australian Grain Technologies (AGT).

AGT have been proud Gold sponsors of AIR EP since the organisation was formed in 2020. Prior to that time, AGT were longstanding sponsors of former farming-system groups, Eyre Peninsula Agriculture Research Foundation (EPARF) and Lower Eyre Ag Development Association (LEADA).

In speaking about AGT’s partnership with AIR EP and Eyre Peninsula-based farmers, SA Variety Support Manager Bradley Koster says “AGT places high value and proudly sponsors AIR EP to support local innovation, create relationships with Eyre Peninsula growers and to help with the adoption of improved cereal varieties for the region. This partnership helps deliver region-specific research and solutions that benefit both local farmers and the wider Australian agricultural community”.

Sponsorship funding remains a valuable part of AIR EP’s business, providing the not-for-profit organisation with an additional source of income to continue extending agricultural innovation and technology to Eyre Peninsula farmers.

“We’ve been fortunate to maintain a longstanding partnership with AGT and always look forward to working with the team at annual crop walks and during events season. Their approach to supporting grower groups is so important to our business and demonstrates a commitment to farmers and the broader agriculture sector in our region”, says AIR EP Executive Officer, Naomi Scholz.

In looking forward, Brad remarks “the AGT breeding program is constantly evolving, to be as profitable and dynamic for farmers as possible. Later in the year AGT will be releasing additional wheat and barley varieties that will continue to add value to Australian farmers.”
