PIRSA | 2 year extension for eID discount scheme
Discounts on electronic identification (eID) tags will continue for South Australian sheep and goat producers.
The eID tag discount scheme has been extended for two years as part of the State Government’s $73 million drought support package to provide assistance to drought-impacted farmers.
From 1 July 2025, NLIS-accredited eID tags will be available at a 47.5 cent discount according to the corresponding year of birth colour:
• white (2025)
• orange (2026)
• light green (2027).
For NLIS-accredited tags that fall outside of the year of birth colour scheme, a rebate will be available from 1 July 2025. The Expanded eID Device Rebate (2025-2027) will provide a 25% rebate up to 47.5 cents per tag.
The point-of-sale tag discount and expanded eID device rebate will be available until 30 June 2027.
