RiskWi$e: Risk in agriculture blog series article #3

| Posted in

The Pannell Discussions RiskWi$e series is a series of easy-to-read discussions, explanations and examples on risk and behavioural science written for the Australian grains industry by David Pannell, University of Western Australia.

In the third post ‘Farmers’ risk perceptions’, David outlines that some risks can be measured fairly objectively, while for others there is little objective evidence to go on. Either way, what drives farmers’ decisions is their own perceptions of the risk. Their perceptions may or may not line up well with objective measures.
In future posts, David will look at agricultural risks from various angles.
