Project Aim: To improve the capacity of grains research, development and extension in the Eyre Peninsula region through the employment of an annual intern within local research organisations in 2026. To further develop applied research skills of recent graduates so they will be able to make an improved contribution to the grains R D & E industry in South Australia. Hosted by SARDI Minnipa Ag Centre.

In 2026, AIR EP welcomes Anna Osmond as the program’s sixth intern. With a background in soil science and plant nutrition, Anna will work alongside researchers at the SARDI Minnipa Agricultural Centre and contribute to practical, locally relevant grains research for the region.
